'-Don't worry about it?' He thought to himself.

She was extremely cool about the situation. This only worried him a bit more but he reminded himself he needed to stay focused.

"Okay guys! You're both up! You guys will be dancing to three songs. The one with the most wins-wins! Haha. There will be a prize at the end."

He wasn't even interested in the prize. Butch couldn't lose to a girl in general. It's happened before and it couldn't happen again. The ruff simply gritted his teeth as he made his way in front of the huge flat screen tv set, making sure the Kinect system was working properly.

[☄] — Even if she was faring rather well in the situation at hand, confidence hadn’t exactly been one of Terra’s defining traits. Victory seemed so close—so within reach—only minutes ago.

But somehow, the pride of winning had faded away.

God, she bluntly mused. I’m so screwed.

Last minute anxiety began to crawl up her spine, as her blue eyes darted around the unfortunately crowded store. Who was she kidding? She was fairly good at this game, but the doubt that she could beat him—this angry punk-ass rebel who wore his acid wash jeans a size way too tight—began to clot her mind.

Maybe if she was lucky, she’d be able to back ou—

Nope. Too late.

Quickly eyeing her competitor once more, her spiraling blonde hair swished in a crumple behind her as she readied herself for what was to come.

snailsandsnark:

◖-"Tch, fine whatever. Let's pick somethin' that'll go easy on you."

Butch simply turned to the guys standing behind him. They have been hearing the whole conversation.

             -Everyone in here's nosy.

"One of you, hand me over Dance Central 2 or--3. Whatever." His gaze turned to the girl before him once more, a smirk on his face. Well, he was feeling overly confident right about now. He scanned over her once more--oh, if only his brothers were here.

"I brought in Dance Central 3." The rowdy ruff simply snatched the game away--wanting to get over with this and show her who was the boss. "You've played this before, right?"-

[☄] — “Gee, thanks,” Terra sarcastically drawled, rolling her now heavy-lidded blue eyes at her contender. She could feel his smug, disapproving gaze on her, and it was tempting to bite back with a more dignified, perhaps bitter sense of snark, but the geomancer was aware that she was already on his bad side…it wouldn’t be wise to linger there, either.

However, overhearing that they would be playing Dance Central 3 seemed to ease her pinched nerves the smallest bit.

“Eh. Don’t worry about it,” she answered casually. Dance Central 3 was a surprisingly popular and high-regarded game to play back in Titans Tower, despite the fact that most of her teammates couldn’t dance to save their lives.

Luckily, Terra was light enough on her feet and completely incapable of embarrassing herself in her current situation.

Hopefully all of those limb-aching training sessions of aerobics and physical coordination would pay off.

snailsandsnark:

◖-When the entry door had opened, everyone turned to look. The spiky haired teen was some of the last people to catch a glimpse of the blonde girl. His eyes scanned around the room for a moment-watching as everyone's eyes widened. Some guys were in a daze as they watched her.

'What the hell is the big deal?' He thought to himself.

" Yeah! We were totall--"A guy began but Butch interrupted, seemingly irritated with the situation.  "No, we weren't expectin' you." Some people threw their arms up in the air, others cried out 'Aww man'. It was rare for a girl to walk into the entrance doors--It was like a blessing to them.

"C'mon, Butch give her a chance" One beamed at him. His emerald eyes landed on her once again, as he took note of the way she had presented herself previously.

"Fine whatever. What are we playin' again?"-◗

                             image

[☄] — I haven’t gotten this much attention since I met the Titans, Terra mused to herself in a slight oddity. Some of ‘em act like they’ve never even seen a girl before.

And considering the fact that she was the only girl in the store…that was probably the case.

One of the guys, however, looked completely disinterested, and he, of course, was the first one to interject irritably. Over-gelled black hair and an aggravated scowl were the first things Terra noticed as her blue eyes hastily skinned him over…he was obviously the stereotypical bad boy; you know, the kind who blew out all of their money on cigarettes and cheap hair gel; the total anti-Robin…but hey, maybe she was wrong about him.

Either way, the guy seemed like the leader, or at least the “go-to man” among the crowd, so perhaps it would be best not to push his buttons…yet.

Upon hearing his inquiry, the geomancer merely shrugged her shoulders, grinning at him evenly. “I dunno,” she said. “You seem to know what you’re doing, so how about you pick first dibs?”

snailsandsnark replied to your post “2, 4, 6, 8, 10”

◖-Butch felt suffocated indoors. His brothers were going at it again and he was there to watch. A sigh had escaped as he made himself back into his room--only to come back out fully dressed. One of them had asked him where he was going but he simply headed out without a word--slamming the door shut behind him.

                               Next Stop: Video Game store

A warm breeze hit his face as he entered the small place. To his surprise, it had been full of people who were having a contest at who could play guitar hero on a hard level. Around Townsville he was known as one of the best gamers around besides his brothers--everyone stared and went silent as they spotted him. "Dude" One whispered to another. "I hear there's a girl that goes by Terra who's coming here also. She's good around her place." He couldn't believe what he was hearing--His hands clenched into tight fists. A girl? Really?

The green ruff didn't even care--It was only Guitar Hero. "Tch, Put on a different game will ya? This shit is for sissies." -◗

[☄] — A refreshing gust of wind scrutinized Terra as she made her way through the relatively placid streets of Townsville; also known as the nomadic Titan’s current location of interest.
Not like anyone would know that she was a Titan, anyway. That wasn’t what she was there for.

Silently adjusting the beanie perched onto her head, the blonde’s Black Doc Martens continued to swivel casually down the winding, worn-out pavement until they reached the entrance of the local video game store.

Thank God, she mused as she prepared to venture into the store. Finally some well-deserved time to kick back, relax, and make boys cry their wallets empty before I head back to Jump.

However, the store’s atmosphere wasn’t at all what Terra was expecting.
The minute she stepped foot into its interior, dozens of pairs of eyes had directed their undivided attention toward her, and a barrage of various whispers began to fill the suddenly tense room.

So,” the Titan nervously managed as her blue eyes shifted to the floor. “Guess you guys were expecting me, huh?”
